Mascot 2.4 and later
- Launch Database Manager
- Create New
- Enter suitable name and choose Use predefined definition template
- Select Simple AA template
- Create
- Copy Fasta file to specified directory and choose Refresh
- Activate
Mascot 2.3 and earlier
- Create a directory on the Mascot server for the Fasta file,
e.g. C:\inetpub\mascot\sequence\h_pylori\current
or /usr/local/mascot/sequence/h_pylori/current
- Copy the Fasta file to the directory
- Launch Database Maintenance
- Choose New Definition
- Configure similar to this
- Test and, if all OK, Apply
